As we begin the new school year, we would like to remind you of some very important safety information to keep in mind regarding before and after school drop off and pick up of students. The safety of our students is our main concern, so please be sure to follow these procedures each day.
- Pull your vehicle to the curb to drop off and pick up your children, so that they are not running across the street.
- Prompt arrival at school is imperative-Please make sure your child arrives to school on time.
- Do not pull into the bus parking lanes at any time.
- If your children do have to cross the street, they must use the crosswalk.
- When parking is limited, please park on the street. Please do not park in spots labeled as staff parking.
- Making U-turns in a school zone are illegal and tickets are being issued.
- Meet your child(ren) at designated gate at dismissal, perhaps across the street, or down the road a little further. It will be less crowded and can be a consistent meeting spot for you each day.
- THERE MUST BE NO PARKING IN THE RED ZONES, THE CROSSWALKS, OR IN FRONT OF THE FIRE HYDRANT.
- Arriving early, or 5-10 minutes before dismissal, will help you secure a parking spot.
- Students riding their bicycles must walk them to a less congested area before they begin riding. They must also wear their helmets and lock up their bicycles each day.
- State law has been passed that allows the Clark County School Police Officers to enforce laws on the roads of school property or adjacent to school property.
- This means the officers will now be available to enforce roads laws and issue citations during school hours and during after-school functions.
- Per CCSD Regulations when students that are not picked up by 3:45, a Truancy Officer will be called to transport the student to a location, where the student can be supervised. Due to office hours, students cannot be supervised in the office when parents are late. Parents may sign students up for the Safe key program is late pick up is an issue.
Thank you,
The Eisenberg Staff
